• Supervised undergraduate projects of the final year students on Digital Electronics, Data Communication, Development of PC-based Educational Software, Telecommunication etc., and masters projects on the development of Multimedia Applications Software, Speech Processing, Computer Communication, Modem and Communications Software.

Part-Time System Analyst, Computer Centre, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The responsibilities assigned to me were:

• Run and maintain the mainframe computer system (IBM 4330 and IBM 370) and Novell Network based PC Work stations.
• Help Students debug their programs in Fortran, Pascal and C/C++.
• Teaching courses related to Lotus, MS-Office, and Dbase, FoxPro and C/C++ programming.
• Introducing computer, data acquisition techniques and computer networking to the people serving in the Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board, and Power Development Board.

• Served as an Adviser, Telecommunications Group, during Renovation of the National Science Museum of Bangladesh (1993-94).
• Served as a Member, Special Technical Committee for preparing specification and project proposal on "Inclusion of automatic voting system in the existing SIS and Conference System of the Bangladesh National Assembly", (June 1995).
• Served as a Member, Technical Committee (Electronics), Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).
• Served as a member of the organising committee for the International Conference on Computer and Information Technology ICCIT'98, organised by BUET and IEEE Bangladesh Section, and also for the 1st National Conference on Computer and Information Systems NCCIS'97, jointly organised by DU, BCS, NSU & BUET.
• I served as an active Member of the BRTC (Bureau of Research Testing and Consultation) of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, and have been involved in testing, repairing, developing software and consultancy (preparing technical specification and tender document evaluation etc) with the team.
• As a member of the team, I also developed a share market software, which is now being used by the BUET team of experts to conduct the lottery live in front of the public in the Share Market of Bangladesh.
• I have also worked as an active member of the main frame group, which determines the merit list of the B. Sc. Engineering Admission Test of BUET, by using the main frame computer (for the academic sessions 1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94, 1994-95, 1995-96, and 1996-97).

• Networking : Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite. Was also involved in setting up a Novell Network based PC network in the Telecom Lab (BUET).
• Assembling PCs: Can assemble and set up PCs.
• Operating Systems: DOS, Windows 95, Windows NT, (Learning UNIX).
• Computer Languages: Assembly for IBM compatible PC, HTML, Basic, Fortran, Pascal, C/C++, Dbase, FoxPro and Matlab Programming, Assembly for TMS320C25 & TMS320C30 DSPs.
• Other Packages: MS-word, MS-Excel, Power Point, Word Perfect, Lotus, Dbase, FoxPro.
• Simulation Tools: Simulink, Matlab.
• Reviewer of Books: I review newly published books on Communication Electronics and Signal Processing in the International Journal of Electrical Engineering Education (IJEEE), UK.

• Received Dr. M. A. Rashid Gold Medal, for scoring the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) in M.Sc. Engineering Course in 1989.
• Received the best paper award (under the 35-year age group) for the paper "A Simple Experimental Set-up for Generating On-Off Speech Patterns in Two-Way Telephone Conversations", The Bangladesh Journal of Scientific Research, Special Issue, 1990, pp. 81-88.
• Obtained Commonwealth Scholarship in 1989 to undertake Ph.D. Research at UMIST, UK.
